The 2018 Faith at Work Summit is a two-day gathering of 500 church and marketplace leaders – the premier event of the faith and work movement in the United States. To be held in Chicago, IL on October 11-13, the Summit provides an opportunity for leaders from the church, academy and movement organizations to learn from each other and work together to extend Christ’s transforming presence in workplaces around the world.
Attendees at the Summit are at the center of the Church’s work in assisting and equipping the 70% of American Christians who are unsure how their work serves God and the 60% who lack clarity about their calling.
Previously held at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and LeTourneau University, the 2018 Summit is organized by the Center for Transformational Churches at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and will be held at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare. A time for networking, community building and resource sharing, the Summit is not a celebrity-speaker event, but a gathering of individuals and institutions where all attendees participate, share new ideas and initiatives, and create collaborative partnerships.
The 2018 Summit will encourage and challenge the faith and work movement with discussions of critical topics, including: what it means to imagine God as a worker, grappling with the disruption of work and what the resources of the movement have to contribute to specific industries. These timely themes will propel the faith and work movement to the next level, furthering its growth and impact.
